1. Supported Configurations & System Requirements
===========================================================

Please see http://www.hp.com/support/lttcompatibility for the
most up to date information on supported operating system
versions, support storage devices, and available L&TT scripts.

Generation information about this software can be found
at http://www.hp.com/support/tapetools.

===========================================================
2. General Issues
===========================================================

a. ASPI is not officially supported beyond Windows 2000. It
   is available for use if there are issues accessing the device
   via the NT miniport or StorPort but not recommended as the
   primary access method. Please ensure the most recent version
   of WNASPI32.DLL is installed.

b. ASPI is not officially supported for Win 2003. However,it may
   work and if it is installed on the system then LTT will be
   able to make use of it.

c. The L&TT software installs or may need to update
   COMCTL32.DLL, the Windows Common Controls Library. See
   Note (1).

d. Currently, for all language versions of L&TT, the web links
   included in the software point to English only web sites.

e. The "Load Tape" and "Select" buttons on DDS autoloaders
   become disabled when the tool scans them. In order to run
   the "Read/Write" or "Media Validation" test, you will need
   to eject the entire media magazine and re-load it in order
   to load a tape cartridge into the internal drive using the
   "Load Tape" button.

* Note (1):
   These upgrades may affect other application programs
   that were dependent on previous versions of Libraries.
   Should a problem surface, uninstall the HP Library & Tape
   Tools software, and reinstall your other application.
   Keep in mind that these run-time libraries are designed
   for backward compatibility, so most installers are
   designed to keep the newer version.
